The HP envy series has been in existence for a while now with a new model being released almost every year. The 2016 model has emerged as a luxuries version of envy with impressive specifications at a costly expense. In comparison with the previous versions envy has become much more slimmer and better in performance.
Various modifications have been done in the new model: including replacing dedicated Nvidia 940M graphics with integrated iris graphics, this move however seems reductive to most envy fans. Also to achieve on compactness, it involved stripping off the disk space completely. The battery too is smaller than of its predecessor, leading to a reduced battery life of about half an hour from the standard 9hrs 20min in the 2015 version.
In terms of design and make, the latest envy is built with a aluminum shell casing, the corners of each sides is now flat or sharp right-angled. Inclination of the keyboard at a small angle due to the design makes it comfortable for typing followed by a smooth glass-like track-pad satisfies the new envy as one of its kind emerging to be a luxury laptop.
The starting price of hp envy with the standard features stands at $780. More configurations can be made to improve on memory, storage and graphics but that comes at an increasing expense for each add on.
